Q: How much will it cost to play travel?
A. We are expecting the total cost for the 2013 season including uniforms to not exceed $1,000 per player.
Q: Where will the team play and how much travel will be involved?
A. The team will play all home games at Leisburg. We will travel to surrounding communities as a member of the KCBL. Tournaments for 2013 will all be local except for the Dinsey trip in July.
Q: What rules are used for U12?
A. IHSA rules are the primary rules. Bases are 70' and the mound is 50'. Pitchers are limited to three innings per game. Tournaments will follow the same format typically with modifications to time limits as the most common rule modification.
Q. Will there be requirements for addition expenses beyond the base fee?
A. Our philosophy is to focus on teaching the game of baseball. Requiring players to purchase helmets, practice uniforms, bat bags, coaches uniforms and more will not make us a better team and we will not force families to incur the added expense. Other organizations spend as much as $250 per player on these additional items that do not contribute to the advancement of the skill level of the player/team.
